Buy a made-to-order environment as a perpetual internal licence and price redistribution separately
Robotics Center's custom RL environments ($5,000 to $50,000+) ship by default as a private repo licensed to the buyer for perpetual internal use, open-sourcing is a free add-on, and commercial redistribution rights are negotiated on top. The builder keeps the right to resell unless the buyer pays for more, the same structure Epoch reports for software environments where exclusivity costs 4 to 5 times the non-exclusive price.

“Default delivery is a private Git repo licensed to your team with perpetual internal use. We offer an open-source add-on (MIT or Apache-2.0) at no extra cost when the upstream components allow it. Commercial redistribution rights are negotiable.”

- Custom sim2real digital twin RL environment: calibrated dynamics, domain randomisation, validation on real hardware in the vendor's San Francisco lab, transfer notebook, 6 to 8 weeks
- Adding a robot model not yet supported (URDF or MJCF and, where needed, dynamics identified from hardware) to a custom robotics RL environment
- Custom simulated robotics RL environment, Starter tier: 1 robot, 1 simulator (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Genesis or Gazebo), 1 to 3 tasks, Gymnasium API, reward functions, source code, one training-ready dataset, 2 weeks
- Custom simulated robotics RL environment suite: multi-robot, multi-simulator, 5 to 10 tasks, calibrated dynamics, domain randomisation, VLA-ready evaluation harness, 4 to 6 weeks
- RL environment supply contract between a vendor and a smaller (neo) lab
- One especially complex software-engineering RL task with its grader (upper end reported to Epoch AI)
It is shown on its own, not counted into a figure.
