Fees
Paid from the sale, or not at all. By the holder, not by a buyer.
Valuing your data, describing it, the fit report, the rights checklist and the datasheet cost nothing. Only the holder pays us, a fee fixed in the mandate, and only if a sale closes. In a sale we run no buyer pays us, so our fee depends on what you are paid, not on which buyer pays it. A buyer pays us only if you choose to apply to it through its own referral programme, and you see that amount before you choose.
The scale
A percentage of what you are actually paid, band by band, the way sale advisers are paid.

| The first $250,000 | 15% |
| From $250,000 to $1 million | 10% |
| Everything above $1 million | 6% |
| If nothing sells | Nothing |

The buyer pays the holder
What this buyer pays whoever introduces a holder
- The holder pays us
- $42,500
- The holder keeps
- $257,500 (85.8%)
- The buyer pays us
- Nothing
- An introducer earns (one third of $42,500)
- $14,167
A buyer's fee for introductions is declined, and asked for in your price.
Several buyers pay whoever introduces a holder. In a sale we run we decline that money, tell you beside each offer what that buyer pays introducers where it publishes it or tells us, and ask it to put that amount into your price instead. If you choose instead to apply to one buyer through its own referral programme, that buyer pays us its published payout as well as our fee, and you see the amount in writing before you choose. An adviser who keeps that money is paid by the other side of your sale, and earns most by steering you to the buyer that pays introducers best, not the one that pays you best. Two offers for the same data:
- Buyer A offers $300,000 and pays $50,000 to whoever introduces a holder.
- You keep $257,500We earn $42,500
- Buyer B offers $320,000 and pays introducers nothing.
- You keep $275,500We earn $44,500
- Buyer A, asked to put its $50,000 into the price instead, offers $350,000.
- You keep $302,500We earn $47,500
An agent that keeps introduction fees would earn $50,000 by steering you to buyer A against $44,500 from buyer B: paid more for the offer that leaves you $18,000 less. We earn more only when you are paid more.
