Public prices involving GSK
- A one-year non-exclusive licence to 23andMe's genetic and health survey database, including new data and some added analyses, to GSK (after the exclusive period ended)
The licensor's own filing. Same buyer and same database as the fifth exclusive year (23andme-gsk-fifth-exclusive-year-50m), for less than half its price, but the scope differs: this licence added new data and some analyses, while the exclusive years carried a joint drug discovery collaboration. An indication of what dropping exclusivity did to the price, not a clean like-for-like pair.

a $20 million upfront payment for a one year, non-exclusive data licensefor a one-year licence
- A fifth year of GSK's exclusive drug-target discovery period on 23andMe's genetic and health survey database (one further exclusive year, paid by GSK)
The licensor's own filing. GSK paid to extend its exclusive period (begun in July 2018) for a fifth year; the exclusive years also carried a joint drug discovery collaboration, so this prices more than sole use of the data. Set it beside the later one-year non-exclusive licence (23andme-gsk-one-year-non-exclusive-licence-20m) only as an indication, since that licence added new data.
The payer's own page, 23andMe Holding Co., exhibit 99.1 to Form 8-K (SEC), 10 February 2022
a one-time payment of $50 millionfor one further year of the exclusive period
