Can you sell your Intercom data for AI training?
Intercom's terms do not say clearly what the account holder may export, and its API terms bar copying or reselling data pulled through the API, so a sale should start from the holder's own export. The content itself carries high rights risk. This is research from public sources, not legal advice.

What a holder should know
The developer terms bar a third-party app from scraping or copying data obtained through the Intercom Service, which catches a broker connector even without an explicit AI clause. Content is the holder's customers' support chats: their personal data and the holder's customers' confidential information, usually under a DPA. Treat as hard to sell unless properly de-identified and permitted by customer contracts.
Getting your own data out
Unverified.
Customer terms not reviewed. Intercom offers conversation and user exports in-product and via API, but the plan gating and contractual export clause were not verified.
Apps that use its API
Intercom Developer Terms (no date shown): no AI-training clause found. 3.2.1(g): "You will not scrape, or otherwise create copies of any data obtained using the Intercom Service"; 1.5.2: "Developer shall not collect or store any Developer Data without end-user's authorization." Intercom contractually restricts "Third Party LLM Providers from using Customer Data for training or otherwise improving Third Party LLM Provider's services" (Additional Product Terms, from a search excerpt).
