Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, section 71: purposes treated as compatible (new Article 8A(3)) (Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 c. 18, s 71 (new UK GDPR Art 8A(3)))

Consent, research done under Article 84B, and the Annex 2 conditions make a new purpose compatible automatically. Commercial licensing for AI is not among the stated cases, so a UK holder needs the compatibility assessment unless it asks for consent.
