MeitY notification G.S.R. 843(E): which DPDP Act sections start when (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (22 of 2023), commencement notification G.S.R. 843(E), 13 November 2025)
On 2026-10-18 the consent, legitimate-use, transfer, research-exemption and s.43A-repeal provisions (ss.3 to 17 and s.44(2)) are NOT yet in force: they start 18 months after the November 2025 gazette, which is May 2027. Until then the older IT Act s.43A and the 2011 SPDI Rules govern.
