DPDP Act 2023, s.2(t): personal data means data about an identifiable individual (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (22 of 2023), s.2(t))
The Act protects only data that identifies an individual. It has no definition of anonymised or pseudonymised data and sets no standard for either, so data that no longer identifies anyone is outside the definition, but the Act does not say how to prove that.
